PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Miami Music Teachers Association website! As our MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) and FSMTA (Florida State Music Teachers Association) associated chapters state, “Working for a more musical tomorrow,” MMTA is “…an organization whose members are professionally engaged in the teaching of music in the State of Florida…through excellent teaching, learning, and performing which seeks to recognize individual achievement at all levels.”

It is my privilege to serve the Miami Music Teachers Association as its president again for this 2015-2017 term. I believe the teachers of MMTA strive for the best musical education for their students, offering programs at local, state and national levels.

Since 1934, MMTA has continued to offer pedagogical workshops, master classes, scholarship awards, musical assessments, and non-competitive performance opportunities to motivate its members and their students.

Please enjoy our site for information and news on past and upcoming events. We offer membership forms, member benefits and a directory of qualified teachers.

Musically Yours,

CARMEN CUENCA
MMTA PRESIDENT 2015-2017
